The family of Avicii has released a statement thanking fans for their support in the wake of his death.
"It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii", the statement read.
"We are grateful for the privacy during this hard time", the Bergling family added. "Our wish is that it continues that way".
The outlet noted at the time that Avicii, whose real name was Tim Bergling, had a "pale, gaunt face" and looked "far from healthy".
