Tanaka was lifted with 91 pitches after a two-out walk in the seventh. Minnesota is now 8-9 overall and 3-6 on the road. And immediately, Dozier smoked an RBI single to extend the hit streak to 17 games (and 24 games dating back to last year).

New York Yankees' Gary Sanchez wawtches his two-run double during the first inning of a baseball game against the Minnesota Twins in New York, Monday, April 23, 2018. Gleyber Torres had a pair of hits and his first RBI for NY, which extended a winning streak to four for the first time under new manager Aaron Boone and sent the Twins to their season-worst fifth consecutive loss.

Aaron Judge hit his seventh home run as the Yankees went deep four times for the second straight night.

Jose Berrios will attempt to get his 20th career victory in his first appearance against the Yankees since allowing three runs and five hits in three innings during a relief outing in Minnesota's 8-4 loss in the wild-card game. He's now got five homers on the season and has driven in 13 runs. "He was the guy in that first inning who battled from down 0-2 to draw the walk, and he went from there...really good night for him, and hopefully something that continues to build momentum for him".

NY has been up and down this season though they did win three of four from the Blue Jays over the weekend. He's allowed two unearned runs and just three hits. The Yankees entered Monday 11-9 and stood 5.5 games behind the Red Sox in the AL East.

And, in a fitting cap to the blowout win, Torres' hit meant that eight of nine Yankees starters had reached base in the game, with the only holdout being Gregorius - who gave the Yankees lineup bingo by smacking his second career grand slam later in the inning. Over his 13.1 innings this season, Sabathia has a 2.70 ERA but hasn't pitched past the fifth inning. Eventually New York should bust the game open.

Released during spring training and re-signed last week, 1B Adam Lind made his season debut for the Yankees' Class A farm team in Tampa and went 3 for 3 with a double, walk and RBI. Berrios has been electric this season and he's thrown zeroes as far as runs allowed in three of his four starts this year. Before that, the Twins had won three of the previous four games between the teams, so give them a shot here. Minnesota is also 0-6 in Berrios' last six Tuesday starts and the under is 3-0-2 in his last five Tuesday starts.

A night after a 14-1 drubbing, NY beat Minnesota for the sixth straight time and improved to 27-9 against the Twins at new Yankee Stadium, including the playoffs.
