Chelsea Handler, Jimmy Kimmel Blasted For 'Bottom' Jokes Many Deem Homophobic

Jimmy Kimmel Apologizes for Sean Hannity Feud After His Own Wife and Child Are Trolled on the Internet

Jimmy Kimmel reveals the death threats he has received against his wife and young son after Sean Hannity feud as he apologizes to the gay community and for inciting hatefulness

Jimmy Kimmel offered to put an end to a feud between him and Fox News host Sean Hannity. Hannity continued his attack on Kimmel by calling him a "sick, twisted, creepy, perverted weirdo" and a "holier-than-thou hypocrite" and also showing another "Man Show" clip of the host in blackface.

Hannity, cable television's most fervent supporter of the Republican president, took exception, and he and Kimmel exchanged barbs through the week. Kimmel responded, "I can't wait!" to which Hannity replied, "Game on".

Well, that joke was simply too much for Hannity, who took to his Fox News show to slam Kimmel as a "despicable disgrace" and an "ass clown". Mrs. Trump nearly certainly has enough to be concerned about without properly used like a jolt to enhance TV scores.

Kimmel also apologized to the gay community offended by him mocking Hannity's "deference to the President" and a tweet in which he joked about the Fox News host having sex with Trump.

Soon Hannity dropped the "Jr." part and began suggesting that Kimmel was in fact identical to Weinstein: "And you kissed the ass of Obama and Hillary for years Mr Weinstein".

The argument took a turn for the worse - with the men bashing each other and their respective careers - when Kimmel quipped in response, "Don't worry - just keep tweeting - you'll get back on top!"

"I am hopeful that Sean Hannity will learn from this too and continue his newly-found advocacy for women, immigrants and First Ladies and that he will triumph in his heroic battle against sexual harassment and perversion", Kimmel wrote.

On Sunday, the host of Jimmy Kimmel Dwell! shared on Twitter a prolonged apology for tweets he wrote about Hannity that some critics have deemed homophobic.

Both Handler and Kimmel have expressed support for LGBTQ causes throughout their careers, which is perhaps the biggest reason their bottom-referencing jokes have landed with such a thud.

The tweets confronted some backlash on Twitter, the place Perez Hilton accused Kimmel of resorting to "lazy humor" and jokes that "persistently use homosexual males as punchlines".

With late-night comedy nearly uniformly opposed to President Donald Trump and political talk dominated by conservatives, Kimmel and Hannity were playing to their audiences.

'What you don't seem to realize is that I LOVE this, ' Kimmel wrote on Twitter.
