Lesnar won the Universal Championship at last year's WrestleMania when he defeated Goldberg.
WWE has been closely following Bryan in the week leading up to WrestleMania.
This is very much a go-home show that isn't entirely sure what's left to do with so many of its feuds, but it's also a show that manages to capture the spirit of WrestleMania.
Since he doesn't have a singles match lined up, I am going to pick Elias for this.
"Maybe next year's WrestleMania which will be in NY, which ironically enough was the last place that I had my match when I lost [the WWE Championship] to John Cena". History has shown that these two matches don't matter all that much in the end.
UFC star Travis Browne has watched as his other half joined the WWE and will be in the crowd as she makes her in-ring debut on Sunday.
Bryan will team with Shane McMahon against the diabolical Canadian duo of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.
The annual Battle Royal is a great way to feature all of the talent that didn't make the cut for a singles or tag match later in the card, but the victor hasn't gone on to do much afterward, historically. Using a "no ropes, matches can only end by submission or knockout" framework, Bloodsport pits wrestlers with that "legit tough guy" mystique against each other in matches that will be less flips and more punches to the face. Rousey will surely take the fight to Stephanie, a surefire way to get WWE fans fully behind the former UFC champion.
One of the most popular pro wrestlers of the last ten years, Daniel Bryan, had to abruptly retire a few years ago due to concerns about concussion trauma. Maybe we see some inkling of something getting us in that direction tonight.
Since John Cena lost at Fastlane, it seemed that his road to WrestleMania would not be as clear as usual.
And just imagine Kid Rock - incidentally in the Hall of Fame this year - the man responsible for the American Badass theme performing for Taker one last time, just too good to be true, right? Cena vs. The Undertaker is one of three matches that could conceivably close Sunday's show. Plus, an Undertaker victory would allow him to retire - for real this time - on a winning note.
Sport 360 is here in Louisiana, and these are the big questions being asked by fans ahead of the Showcase of the Immortals.
Furthermore, they would set the stage for the latest chapter in Bryan's quest to buck authority and prove his worth in the rings of WWE. Miz was laying it on pretty thick on "Raw" about how fatherhood has made him a changed man, but I'm not buying it. Roman Reigns seeks redemption against Brock Lesnar. It won't be clean, but she is going to beat Nia somehow and keep that title just a little bit longer. I was going over several scenarios in my head as to how Carmella finally finds the chutzpah to make this happen.
The most interesting thing about this match is who Braun's partner will be. I'm going with Big Show, but I think Samoa Joe also is a possibility.
Let's face it: Rusev was going nowhere on fast on SmackDown and even disappeared from SmackDown for a few weeks after failing to win the US title back in February. BUT, I actually hope WWE comes up with something far better to do with Elias than have him win this pointless Battle Royal...
