Former Russian spy Sergei Skripal is no longer in critical condition and is "improving rapidly" just over one month after being exposed to a potent nerve agent, hospital staff in England say.

"Novichok is not copyrighted by Russia in spite of the obviously Russian name", said Nebenzia in his address, adding that the USA and Britain had both developed the nerve agent.

Russian Federation has continually denied responsibility for the attack.

Last Thursday, I informed you that Yulia Skripal's condition had improved to stable.

Rossiya TV said Mr Skripal's niece, Viktoria, who lives in Moscow, gave it the recording of her conversation with Yulia.

The latest update on the Skripals' recovery comes as a relative in Moscow revealed she wants to visit her uncle and cousin - but thinks Britain will stop her from coming over. Nerve agents work by blocking an enzyme in the body that lets nerves communicate with each other and with the body's organs.

The Skripals' long-term prognosis is uncertain, however.

Britain would share those findings once a report was made available, Pierce said, accusing Russian Federation of attempting to undermine the worldwide institution responsible for the investigation.

The attack prompted the biggest Western expulsion of Russian diplomats since the height of the Cold War as allies in Europe and the USA sided with Ms May's view that Moscow was either responsible or had lost control of the nerve agent. Russian Federation has sent home the same number of those nations' envoys. A senior Trump administration official said, "This [is a] response to Russia's continued attacks to subvert Western democracies".

The head of Britain's defense research facility, the Porton Down laboratory, acknowledged Tuesday that it has not been able to pinpoint the precise source of the nerve agent.

London police called an emergency meeting of community leaders on Friday after six stabbings in a matter of hours, as they tried to stem a wave of knife crime that threatens to dominate the city's politics ahead of local elections in May.

At a United Nations.

Britain, the United States and other nations have blamed Russian Federation for the attack, while the Kremlin has denied responsibility.

Britain's foreign ministry issued a statement Friday saying, "Let us be clear, this was attempted murder using an illegal chemical weapon that we know Russian Federation possesses".

Yulia on Thursday released a statement in which she said she woke up "over a week ago" and that her "strength is growing daily". She says her father is sleeping and his health has not been irreparably damaged.

'I made this recording, that was Yulia, ' she said.

Sergei Skripal, a former Russian military intelligence officer who convicted for passing secrets to Britain's MI-6, had been living in Britain since he was released in 2010 by Russia in a trade for Russian spies that were captured in the United States.

Sergei Skripal's two guinea pigs were found dead inside his home a while after the March 4 attack. The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs said the cat was put down after it was found "in a distressed state". "Their condition is also an important piece of evidence".
