Two other suspects - a man and a woman - were arrested and police were questioning them.

Aminu Sulley, according to Superintendent Simon Agbodeka, Peki District Police Commander, was arrested upon intelligence.

Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle told KATC-TV that the officer was trying to pull over Marcus White, 25, for speeding on Live Oak Street in Patterson, St. Mary Parish.

Homicide detectives spotted the Accura about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday driving on Battleground Avenue.

One of the vehicles was stopped on Goodrich Street. Officers from Southbury police and state troopers flooded the area and found the man nearby.

"He became even more aggressive and ran towards them with the weapon up in the air... from there the officers tackled him, pushed him over and then I think he ran backwards and fell over". The man was subsequently arrested for his warrant and resisting arrest.

"Obviously, he felt threatened", Scott said. No officers were injured. The officers fired back, shooting and killing Romero.

NPD spokesperson Lt. Justin Wishon said officers encountered an aggressive dog that charged toward one of them. "We will provide him with peer support and resources to help his mental and spiritual well-being".

When police arrived, EMS was already on scene.

James Edward Grundon, 43, who lists a Central Avenue address, was taken into custody shortly before 8:30 a.m. Monday and charged with theft by receiving over $1,000, a felony punishable by up to six years in prison.

In the meantime, officers swarmed Battleground, collecting evidence and talking to witnesses.

Greensboro Police said the shooting occurred following a traffic stop in the parking lot of Battleground Village Shopping Plaza.

Lt. Dave Kaiser said the gun Jaden used was recently reported stolen from a vehicle parked at the Holiday Inn Express in Midland.

In the tape, a woman pushes her hand in the face of Officer Kevin Harrell, who then grabs the woman by the hair and slams her down on the ground.
