LA, Welcome to Zlatan

LA, Welcome to Zlatan: Football Star Signs Contract With LA Galaxy

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's move to LA Galaxy provides fitting Hollywood ending to glittering career

Perhaps Alexis Sanchez's arrival and versatility meant there wasn't a real need for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to hang around anymore.

The powerful 6-foot-5 Swedish forward has loomed above soccer for almost two decades, captivating the world with his sublime physical talent and uniquely outrageous personality.

Ibrahimovic has four months left on his contract with the team, but Mourinho said at a news conference earlier this month that he did not expect him to stay.

A photo of Ibrahimovic wearing a Los Angeles Galaxy shirt appeared above a separate story on the front page of the Times' sports section.

The iconic 36-year-old striker announced his move in a typically enigmatic full-page advert in the Los Angeles Times, which simply read, "Dear Los Angeles - you're welcome".

However, despite all of his bravado, the 36-year-old still has questions over his fitness.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic said he was ready to win silverware with Los Angeles Galaxy after the club confirmed his move from Manchester United to Major League Soccer. "Move over to the USA, try the MLS. I chose them, and I come to do exactly what I've been doing the last 23 years: Winning". If he feels comfortable immediately, he could even debut in a derby against their new archrival Los Angeles FC on March 31.

He wrote, "Great things also come to an end and it is time to move on after two fantastic seasons with Manchester United".

"I want to accomplish as much as possible", he said in his first interview with the club's official website. "I am coming to win, to help, to make it better".

Bastian Schweinsteiger has accused Zlatan Ibrahimovic of "following" him to MLS! I haven't played games in a while and that is what I miss now. "My first objective is to play football and do what I'm good at". "As one of the winningest players of all time, we believe he'll have a very positive impact on our team".

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has joined the LA Galaxy.

Ibrahimovic will occupy an global roster spot with the Galaxy.

Ibrahimovic has retired from global football but is considering making a return for the World Cup in Russian Federation this summer.

"I made a decision to sign with Galaxy because I think it's the right place for me".
