February was a largely positive month for Indiana's employment picture.
The estimated number of Pennsylvania residents working or looking for work, known as the civilian labor force, was down 3,000 over the month to 6,411,000. In January Wisconsin's labor force participation rate ranked fifth highest in the country.
Five industry sectors saw month-over-month declines, but accounting for a relatively low combined loss of 9,500 jobs.
On Maui, the unemployment rate was at 1.9% on Maui island, down slightly from January's rate of 2% and down from the 2.8% reported at the same time a year ago. Other services includes repairs and maintenance, personal care services and religious organizations.
Monthly workforce estimates are cooperatively produced and released by the Maine Department of Labor, Center for Workforce Research and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
"It is great news that the unemployment rates continue to drop in Southwest Florida and that more Floridians are able to find a good job" said Scott.
EDD said California has gained more than 2.87 million jobs since economic expansion began in February 2010.
Zeller said job growth this year hasn't been enough to offset 2017's dismal employment data.
Nebraska's nonfarm employment for February was 1,006,857.
State officials note there are hundreds of available jobs in state government. The number of unemployed has decreased by 32,000 over the past year from 294,000.
The not seasonally adjusted rate for the State was 1.9% in February, compared to 2.1% in January. More on the differences in accuracy of the two measures is at www.maine.gov/labor/cwri/blogs/imprecise_data.pdf. Over the year, Manufacturing gained 1,800 (+0.7%) jobs.
