Beyonc put the "art " in "wearable art" at a charity art auction in Los Angeles on Saturday, stunning in a custom-made gown inspired by a Nubian warrior queen.

Naturally, her superstar parents Jay-Z and Beyoncé were in attendance to support the event, which aims to raise money for a non-profit art and performance complex. The youngster successfully bid $10,000 for a Samuel Levi Jones artwork, according to Vanity Fair. During the auction, Blue Ivy bid $17,000 on an acrylic painting of the actor Sidney Poitier.

Another person tweeted, "Blue Ivy bidding on $19,000 dollars worth of art".

When you mam and dad are Beyoncé and Jay Z there's no doubt your childhood is going to be a little different to most. Perry ended up paying $20,000 for the painting.

The 36-year-old "Hello" singer and her daughter wore matching gold dresses when the duo appeared at the Alexandria Ballroom following the event hosted by the WACO Theater Center. "There is something that feels very off about receiving this award from my mother", she joked in her acceptance speech for their Humanitarian Award. Beyonce's musical proteges, Chloe and Halle, honored the pop star as well by performing a cover of her song, "I Was Here".
