Mark Cuban was investigated for sexually assaulting woman in 2011

According to a report in Williamette Week, a publication based in Portland, Oregon, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was accused of sexual assault by a woman in 2011, after an alleged incident in a Portland bar. But McGuire did say, "There are two pictures that do appear to have your shoulder dipping and your arm sort of, if you follow the direction of it, down below her waist". Meanwhile, Cuban flatly denied the allegation, telling the Associated Press on Tuesday: "It didn't happen".

According to the report, in May 2011 a woman (who WW did not name) reported an assault by Cuban.

Portland defense attorney Stephen Houze, who represented Cuban during the police investigation, sent the same message Wednesday morning in an email to The Oregonian/OregonLive.

"If she told five friends right there and then, then that's what they're gonna tell the judge and I'm gonna be fucked", Cuban said.

The woman declined to proceed with the allegation at the time but she still contends he did what she accuses him of doing.

The woman told Portland police investigators she saw Cuban at the Barrel Room on Northwest Third Avenue during the wee hours of April 23, 2011.

This news comes a week after Sports Illustrated revealed that there was an ongoing investigation within the Mavericks organization that was described as a "corporate culture rife with misogyny and predatory sexual behaviour".

Charges were never filed after the District Attorney determined there was insufficient evidence as no witnesses or physical evidence were found.

The detective also noted that the woman's "teeth are clenched, eyes wider than the other pictures and brow raised showing a look of surprise and strain".

Prosecutors in OR opted not to pursue the case in which a woman said Cuban reached in her trousers while they were having their picture taken in a Portland nightclub.

"It was apparent he was very drunk", the woman's friend later told police.

Furthermore, they added, "There is no evidence to corroborate the complainant's statement and there is evidence contradicting the claim".
