On her part, McDormand won Best Actress at the 2018 Oscars. Peratining to this a 47 year old man was arrested on the night of Oscars for allegedly stealing the award, but still awaiting confirmation.

Public Information Officer Norma Eisenman confirmed to USA TODAY that the LAPD arrested a suspect named Terry Bryant and that he is in the process of being booked for grand theft.

Police said Bryant was exiting the Governors Ball when he was photographed holding an Oscar statuette.

After that, he looked around and walked out, grabbing the Oscar the whole time without doubt. The photographer did not recognize Bryant as a recipient from the awards show and believed he was in possession of a trophy which did not belong to him.

Earlier in the ceremony Ashley Judd, Annabella Sciorra, and Salma Hayek took to the stage to shine a light on these campaigns.

Bryant, who also reportedly goes by DJ Matari, did have a ticket to the event.

McDormand's publicist Simon Halls told the Associated Press: "After some brief time apart, Frances and her Oscar were happily reunited". My team got this tonight. "Every part of this day is emblazoned into my mind", Janney tells Spencer then picks up her glass of champagne and adds, "Yes, I wanna remember, have a little bit of this just to enhance it". Bryant, meanwhile, posted a video to social media holding the Oscar. Don't talk to us about it at the parties tonight.

We did some checking and it turns out the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences owns the hardware. despite the fact the statue was bestowed on Frances and even engraved with her name.
