Burnley 2-1 Everton: Clarets Come From Behind To Beat Toffees

Everton will head to Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon as they prepare to face Burnley in the lunchtime kick-off, and could be set to welcome back two key players to the side, according to the club's official website.

It was the first time in 61 attempts that Burnley have won a Premier League game after going behind under Sean Dyche.

It was also the first time they have picked up all three points in the top flight after conceding first since May 2010 against Spurs - 53 games ago.

Barnes scored the equaliser nine minutes into the second half, beating Jordan Pickford from close range.

Burnley pushed hard for the victor and made the breakthrough with their tenth corner of the game.

"Ashley Williams getting sent off sums our day up".

"I think I've answered this question, I'm here as long as I win football matches and if you don't it doesn't matter how long your contract is, you lose your job", Allardyce said in his press conference, per Everton's official website. Click any of these buttons below!

Everton fans expect far more than that, they want big signings and good, exciting football.

Wayne Rooney came off the bench on 59 minutes to replace Tom Davies and add a bit more experience and know how to the midfield that was in danger of being swamped by a now rampant Burnley.

That lifted Burnley's spirits when really, in the first half, with all the very, very good chances we created, we should have been 2-0 up.

Everton have won just one of their last 23 league games away from home and Allardyce says this latest defeat has left him sick - but admits the supporters won't believe him.

"They needed someone to get them out of trouble and he got them out of trouble very quickly".

And Allardyce has bemoaned his side's defending after they "gifted" Burnley a goal.

McCarthy's club and worldwide team-mate Seamus Coleman returned from his own double leg-break in January but is now out with an unrelated thigh problem.

Burnley have now completed the league double over Everton for the first time since 1959-60, with today's victory effectively confirming their place in the Premier League next season.
