The Black Panther cast is comprised mostly of black people, and many people have associated the movie with black excellence. Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa/Black Panther is the brother of "melanined" Princess Shuri, played by the hilarious Letitia Wright.
Right-wing trolls had previously launched a campaign to give Black Panther purposely low user scores on Rotten Tomatoes in protest against Disney's increased spotlight on BME and female characters in recent years.
The film with the nearly all-black cast was expected to do well, but its four-day holiday weekend opening haul of $242 million in the United States and $427 million worldwide was better than expected.
Directed by African-American director Ryan Coogler, Black Panther has become more than your traditional superhero flick.
To do so, Beachler created the Wakandan Bible, which ensured the movie stayed true to African traditions.
After the events of Captain America: Civil War, King T'Challa returnsohome to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country's new leader. We don't need the white gay community's help. Joe Robert Cole and Ryan Coogler wrote the screenplay while the latter also served as the film's director.
It's hard to watch this debate develop without examining the film's characters.

But like with most films adapted for the silver screen from books and comics, everything didn't make it into the two-hour and fifteen minute final cut of the film that was in the comic book. "If anybody believes that Africa didn't have an empire, didn't have architecture, didn't have art, didn't have science, you see it in this movie". But all of a sudden when a film with a Black director and majority Black casts shatters box office records while receiving nearly universal positive praise all of sudden they're front and center. To the press who wrote about the film for the folks who hadn't seen it, and encouraged audiences to come out.
The message that I received from the Black Panther movie is basically not to just focus on yourself and your people but to respect all people and to contribute to different things other than your own interests.
