"POTUS" has become a widely used acronym for president of the United States.
I have no doubt that partisan politics can and indeed does affect the decisions made by some people in the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Justice Department, and many other government agencies, but to suggest that there may be an O.J. Simpson-like conspiracy happening that involves a large portion of our government's law enforcement: I believe that to be not just utterly ridiculous, but unsafe. Sen.

By Sept. 2, Trump and Clinton were locked in a bitter contest for the White House that ended with Trump's victory November 8 to succeed Obama.

Davis, whose book "The Unmaking of the President 2016: How FBI Director James Comey Cost Hillary Clinton the Presidency" was released Tuesday, joined CBSN's "Red & Blue" Wednesday to talk about the special counsel investigation.
Some Republicans have in the past called for the appointment of a second special counsel to investigate their concerns, and Attorney General Jeff Sessions has indicated he would at least consider that idea.

Bolden said the text messages' dates and all these "possibilities" represented "a waste of time".
In texts previously revealed, Strzok and Page have shown their disdain for Republicans in general, and other texts show more examples of the officials' opposition to Trump, calling him a "f-ing idiot", among other insults.
On Wednesday, The Wall Street Journal provided some clarity on the context of the text, citing associates of Strzok and Page who said the text referenced internal preparations to brief Obama on Russia's interference in the 2016 election. In his statement to lawmakers, Comey said he had been told about the new emails just the previous day. "So, when I look back in terms of how we handled it, I think we handled it the way it should have been handled".
October 28, 2016: Comey announces that the FBI is reopening the Clinton email investigation, based on the emails discovered a month prior on Weiner's computer.
