"The issue with him was that he was our boss".
Actor Nicole Eggert said Tuesday she is considering filing a police report against her former Charles In Charge costar, Scott Baio, alleging he sexually abused her when she was a teenager working on the show in the 1980s. Renee actually told Baio her pregnancy news on the finale of Scott Baio Is 45...and Single, so the second season of the show was titled Scott Baio Is 46...and Pregnant.
Baio has not publicly commented on social media since this interview.
Eggert, who also co-starred on "Baywatch", first went public with allegations against Baio over the weekend.
He told "Megyn Kelly Today" in a statement that he witnessed "inappropriate cuddling" between Baio and Eggert on set. Eggert says the two "messed around" a "little bit during the show", but claims they did not engage in actual intercourse at the time. "I know you're telling the truth and I'm so glad to see you speaking out". Eggert is now represented by attorney Lisa Bloom and is set to appear on Megyn Kelly Today to address the claims she recently brought up against Baio. "It wasn't a hold-me-down rape me situation, but I was 17".
He then played an old radio interview with Nik Richie from 2013 where Eggert appeared to back up those claims.
As for Eggert suggesting in an interview that she was the initiator because she wanted to lose her virginity, the actress had an answer for that too.
She added, "More than ten times, more like probably once a week". Her platform was Twitter, and she wrote: "Ask @scottbaio what happened in his garage at his house when I was a minor". The age of consent in California both at the time and now is 18. Eggert indicated to Kelly that she very well might.
After playing the clip, Baio said: "So you heard it was way after Charles in Charge was done".
"Ask Scott Baio what happened in his garage at his house when I was a minor".
Baio said that Eggert first made claims against him back in 2012 when she was promoting reality shows, and noted she has previously called their relationship a lot more "innocent" than people perceive it to be.
"Nicole was distraught after the interview and off air she as an emotional wreck", he explained.
"I had never experienced anything like that before either" - Nicole Eggert, who has accused former Charles in Charge co-star Scott Baio of molesting her when she was younger.
On Tuesday's Megyn Kelly Today, Kelly also interviewed filmmaker Jennifer Jarosik, who alleges music mogul Russell Simmons sexually assaulted her twice - once in 2011 in his office in NY, and another time at his home in Los Angeles in 2016. "She said he molested me as a child and I didn't know any better", Richie said in a statement.
