Only three nations had at least 169 athletes at the 2014 Sochi Olympics, the United States, Canada, and Russian Federation, which as the host nation in 2014 had 232 athletes competing.
A team of 169 athletes would have been the fourth largest delegation in Sochi, trailing only Canada, the United States and Russian Federation. Eve Muirhead, in her third Games, leads a women's curling team that won last year's European Championships.
Gasser will be looking to rebound from disappointment in Sochi four years ago when she fell twice in the slopestyle final, having qualified in first.
PyeongChang officials said six nations will make their first Winter Games appearances: Malaysia, Singapore, Ecuador, Eritrea, Kosovo and Nigeria.
"You can never predict how the results will fall but I am certain we're going to South Korea with opportunities to deliver more world-class performances than a British ski and snowboard team ever have at an Olympic Games".

The group will travel to Korea next month and will familiarise themselves with the Games environment in Alpensia before taking in some action across the following five days, which will include medal ceremonies and visits to the two Olympic Villages.
The Team GB line-up was completed on Thursday following the selection of 25 skiers and snowboarders, which takes the total of men to 34 and women to 25.
