News Story As Rajasthan Police Goes To Arrest Him Togadia Goes Missing VHP Protests

Vishwa Hindu Parishad working president Pravin Togadia moved to tears in front of media persons and cameras, a day after he went "missing" and was found in an unconscious state. He claimed that he received a tip-off that he would be killed in a fake encounter.

Togadia, during a press conference, has said that people were stifling his voice when he wanted to speak on issues such as Ram temple, welfare schemes for farmers and the law on cow slaughter. His relationship with the RSS is also said to have been strained as the Sangh was believed to be divided on Togadia continuing as the VHP's global working president. "While those attempts failed, he is being targeted being the lone Hindu voice pressurizing for building Ram Mandir and issues like conversion and love jihad" VHP spokesperson Jay Shah said.

"The Rajasthan Police action was suspicious", said Togadia, adding, "if the police team of the neighbouring State would come to arrest him either the State Home Minister or the CM must have knowledge about it".

I was told that Rajasthan Police has left for my encounter, and they have not carried a warrant.

Following the VHP leaders sudden disappearance, hundreds of activists of the Hindu outfit came on the roads of different cities of Gujarat, including that of Ahmedabad on Monday. Before leaving, Togadia told the security staff the he will be back within 30 minutes, PTI reported.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) in Ahmedabad JK Bhatt had denied that Togadia had been arrested either by the Gujarat Police or Rajasthan Police. Since some time I feel my voice is being gagged.

VHP leader Pravin Togadia remained incommunicado for a couple of hours on Monday, fearing threat to his life and kept a nation worrying about his wellbeing.

He said it was not yet confirmed weather Togadia was arrested or not.

The police had maintained that he was neither found nor detained by either Rajasthan or Gujarat cops. The warrant, related to section 188 of the IPC, was issued by a sessions court in Gangapur. It was also not clear why he fell unconscious as he had no past history of sugar levels falling so alarmingly. Again, we do not know who those people were.

We all know what kind of conspiracies are being hatched by Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. "I do not believe that Hindtuva is in danger but I firmly believe that chief of the Hindu organisation is in danger".

"Togadia was not at all arrested by our team".
