AAA Michigan: Statewide average gas prices decline 6 cents

GasBuddy Predicts Jump in Price

Gas expected to rise five cents per litre in 2018

Average retail gasoline prices in CT have risen 3.5 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.68/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 1,540 gas outlets in CT.

Austin- $2.22/g, up 0.8 cents per gallon from last week's $2.21/g. "The cold weather has also played a role, with more crude being needed for production of home heating oil".

Los Angeles is also expected to have one of the highest prices of gas in the nation at around $3.25 per gallon.

However, McKinley said a major factor that should moderate gasoline prices this year is increased fracking activity in North American oil fields.

State of Tennessee- $2.26, up 1.6 cents per gallon from last week's $2.25.

High compliance with the pact, which was implemented at the start of 2017 and runs through 2018, contributed to last year's price rally for crude oil, oil stocks, and related mutual and exchange-traded funds. "We estimate pump prices will therefore rise an average of five cents a litre across the country".

MOBIL Oil Marianas raised its gas prices by 15 cents a gallon on Monday morning. Average U.S. gasoline demand fell 8.8 percent last week in the first decline since November, government data show. Gasoline inventories jumped by almost 5 million barrels while distillate inventories, made up of heating oil and diesel, gained almost 9 million barrels even amidst high demand due to cold weather.

The bad news is that come Christmas Day, they'll be the highest we've paid for gas on the holiday since 2013. "One can easily "outsmart the pump" by shopping around for the lowest price, using Pay with GasBuddy to chop the pump price down immediately, and by driving smarter to get more out of every tank".

" Springtime is as a springboard for prices at the pump, and we may see a 40-50 cent jump by the summer", said Jenkins.

A consumer watchdog website has released a warning about fuel prices in 2018.
