Reports suggest that the Toffees are going to bring in Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun, with Sandro Ramirez making way for him, after failing to impress having arrived at Merseyside in the summer.
Tosun scored 20 goals in 33 league appearances last term to steer Besiktas to the title and has netted another eight in 16 appearances this term.
The 26-year-old, who scored 41 goals in 96 games for Besiktas since 2014, has penned a four-and-a-half year contract at Goodison Park. I'm really excited to play for Everton as soon as possible.
'The Tottenham game will be the first game I am available for and I'm very excited about it already'.
"It feels great to be an Everton player", Tosun told evertontv.
Everton now sit in ninth spot in the Premier League standings with a seven-point cushion over the relegation zone and are next in action at Tottenham Hotspur on 13th January.
After signing the record deal, the English club also shared a short video of Everton's newcomer, captioning it with "It's done" and the Turkish national flag.
The move makes Tosun Turkish Super League's most expensive export to date.
"Sam Allardyce was a big part of my decision", he added.
"I'm really looking forward to training with my teammates and getting to know them and, of course, I want to play as soon as possible". I'm excited to play with them and to learn from them as well, players like Wayne Rooney and the very good creative players we have here, too.
He said: "This lad looks like he is strong mentally and has a good pedigree".
Tosun was born and raised in Germany and played for their youth worldwide teams but chose to switch to Turkey and has 25 appearances for their senior side, including at Euro 2016. He has got some good movement, he's two-footed, he's not the biggest but he's efficient in the air in the box. "I do not think you can look any more than we have done and, for the price, he is the best in Europe at the moment".
