Netflix's A Series of Unfortunate Events will return on March 30th

A new teaser reveals the first footage from the second season, as well as a look at Count Olaf's increasingly colorful costumes.

A new fourth-wall breaking teaser however seems to suggest we're in for another slice of wicked evil, with Count Olaf remarking: 'I'm so sorry to disturb your recovery, but it's time for us to get this New Year's Day binge started.

For anyone looking to catch up on the unfortunate misadventures of the Baudelaire trio, they can catch the second season of A Series of Unfortunate Events on Netflix which airs on March 30.

A Series of Unfortunate Events season two has an official release date! Season one covered the first four books in the 13 novel series, where Count Olaf becomes the guardian of three orphaned children, Violet (Malina Weissman), Klaus (Louis Hynes) and Sunny Baudelaire (Presley Smith). The sneak peek also includes the first bits of footage from season two.

Season two is based on volumes five through nine of Lemony Snicket's book series: The Austere Academy, The Ersatz Elevator, The Vile Village, The Hostile Hospital, and The Carnivorous Carnival.

It's pretty brief, but we get the gist. It probably told a more faithful adaptation than the Jim Carrey movie and Neil Patrick Harris just so turned out to be the ideal person to play Olaf. Nathan Fillion, Tony Hale, Lucy Punch, Sara Rue and Roger Bart are some of the new faces joining the second season of the series, which had already been renewed for a third one by Netflix.
