"My sister was supposed to be with me and her children, all three of them, for Christmas, and I got robbed of that", said Shakera Symes.

A lesbian couple and their two children were killed in what police are calling a savage manner this week in their apartment in Troy, N.Y., near Albany.

Four people found dead on Boxing Day (26 December) in an upstate NY basement apartment have now been identified, and are thought to be victims of what police are describing as a quadruple homicide. Police responded to the building on Second Avenue in Troy, a city eight miles northeast of Albany, about 12:50 p.m.

The childrens' uncle, Khalif Coleman, said 5-year-old Shanise was unusually mature for her age. Brandi Mells, 22 years old.

Robinson says he knows nothing about Mells. "It's inconceivable. The fact that they haven't been caught, people are afraid", he said.

Troy police on Thursday identified the victims as 36-year-old Shanta Myers; her children, 11-year-old Jeremiah Myers and 5-year-old Shanise Myers; and 22-year-old Brandi Mells.

Police in upstate NY have arrested two men in connection with the brutal murder of a lesbian couple and two children.

Officials have released few details since a property manager found the bodies Tuesday in a basement apartment in a home along the Hudson River in Troy, just north of Albany.

"After being in business for nearly 42 years I can't describe the savagery of a person like this", Todesco said.

"What happens if that was your family and you were the only one who survived?" asked Smith, as he and other family members appealed through the press for any information about the murders. No suspect has been identified publicly.
