National Football League suspends Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis for 2 games

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams took to social media to vent his frustration on Monday on the heels of the blindside hit he received from Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis.

Adams suffered a concussion as a result of the hit, and could be in for a multi-week absence given his history of concussions. "Game is already risky enough and we got Pro Bowl players out here head hunting and saying they 'didn't mean to harm me, '" Adams tweeted.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Davis will appeal the suspension.

Later Sunday, Adams lashed out at Davis on Twitter.

Trevathan served a one-game suspension for the hit on Adams, who leads the Packers with 74 catches for 885 yards and 10 touchdowns this season. "Your actions yesterday warrant an escalation of discipline, not only because they were flagrant but also because of your status as a repeat offender". "And I think you have to look at the person. I truly respect you as a player and I made a mistake!" "So I don't think it was anything malicious in anything Thomas was trying to do".

Sunday's concussion was Adams' third in two seasons.

As of right now, Davis will miss Week 16 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Week 17 against the Atlanta Falcons.
