The late Carrie Fisher appears in a role much bigger than many might expect since her untimely demise. More specifically, the film is dedicated to her. She makes her final appearance as Leia in "The Last Jedi".

Johnson had reportedly been working closely with Colin Trevorrow on where the story would go next, and with Abrams now taking over the reigns, expect that relationship to continue.
