'Homeland' Season 7 Trailer Sends Carrie Back to DC to Take on the President

The series, which was developed for American television by Alex Gansa and Howard Gordon, is set to kick off season seven on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT.

Starring Emmy, Screen Actors Guild and Golden Globe victor Claire Danes and Emmy and Tony victor Mandy Patinkin, the cast of series regulars also includes returning actors Elizabeth Marvel, Linus Roache, Maury Sterling and Jake Weber, and joining the cast this season is acclaimed actor Morgan Spector (Boardwalk Empire). However, it seems that she's pushing Carrie (Claire Danes) aside and taking on Saul (Mandy Patinkin) as her new National Security Advisor.

The new season picks up after President Keane arrested 200 people from intelligence agencies without bringing charges against them.

"The Founding Fathers foresaw the dark day when we would face a president like her", O'Keefe says.

"I will hunt you down".

Danes, Patinkin and Marvel join returning series regulars Linus Roache, Maury Sterling and Jake Weber, along with Season 7 newcomer Morgan Spector (Boardwalk Empire).

Based on the clip, Carrie is not the only one who's going after Keene. Carrie, having left her position at the White House, is now living with her sister in Washington, D.C., trying to free her comrades and get to the bottom of the corrupt government plot.

"Homeland" bosses previously suggested that they have planned to make season 8 as the drama's last installment.
