Last night brought us the latest incident, in which Durant got into it with Boogie Cousins during the final minutes of the game, earning himself a second tech and an ejection.

Kevin Durant may need to start coming up with a conscious effort to prevent himself from having outbursts in their coming games. Last Friday, Durant got ejected after making a floater over the Orlando Magic's Aaron Gordon-thinking he got fouled on the drive-and exclaiming, "Call that s***!" to the ref, who didn't take to his words lightly. "We got to be poised and we got to execute out there".

"I've been in the league for too long, especially with somebody like Cousins, we know that he's feisty, we know that he's emotional". The night before, against the Miami Heat, Shaun Livingston literally butted heads with a ref after not receiving what he thought was a foul on him, and got tossed from the game as well. Durant has had three in the past 18 games, one more than he had in his previous 810. Everytime I got ejected, I made sure it's late in the game. "I don't want to get injured". "I got to be more focused, I got to be more poised", Durant told reporters.

Cousins' reputation is in no way helping, and his trash-talking style of play is bound to get him into more trouble than he likely deserves, but it's ultimately up to him to become less of a liability to get in trouble with the officials and help his team in the midst of the absence of Anthony Davis. "We got in each other's faces, but that's just how it is, you know what I'm saying? That's just who he is, I gotta be me".

ABOUT THE HORNETS (9-13): While the Warriors were losing their star point guard to an injury, Charlotte was getting its back as Kemba Walker scored 29 points on Monday after missing two games with a shoulder injury.
