Strong earthquake hits Delhi NCR and UttaraKhand

The epicentre was Rudraprayag in Uttarakhand, according to India Meteorological Department (IMD). According to an officer at Seismology, The epicenter is in Uttarakhand and the tremors felt in Delhi and NCR are the impulses. On Tuesday, a 3.3 magnitude quake was reported in the state. So far there is no information about the loss of life or property of any kind of natural disaster. People rushed out of their homes in Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Uttarkashi and Dehradun district as the strong tremors were felt.

Uttarakhand comes in an area which is more prone to quake. "The depth of the quake was 30 km". Meanwhile, Uttarakhand also witnessed heavy snowfall in the hilly regions of the state on Wednesday, bringing the mercury down.

According to reports, medium intensity tremours were felt in Gurgaon, Noida and adjoining areas of Delhi for almost three seconds.
