Austin Rivers to Clippers Fan: 'Shut the F**k Up'

To make matters worse, forward Blake Griffin suffered a sprained MCL on Monday and could miss two months.

Los Angeles Clippers guard Austin Rivers has been fined $25,000 for a verbal outburst toward a fan during a loss to the Utah Jazz.

NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Kiki Van De Weghe said Rivers had been fined for "directing inappropriate comments toward a fan". "He was talking s- about the team, but he was cheering the first half".

The only thing possibly more hilarious than Rivers cursing out one his own team's fans days after reportedly injuring his own teammate, would be his explanation for the latter. And then the second half he was talking about Steve Ballmer and Doc and DJ and saying demeaning stuff to my other teammates.

If you listen very closely, it sounds like Rivers might be threatening to slap the fan, but that's just a guess.

While Rivers is used to fans heckling him over the fact that his dad is the coach, this fan apparently wasn't angry about that.

Yikes. We hate to hear about our fans acting fake during games, and this is especially weird behavior for a fan who paid to sit courtside.

"I definitely shouldn't have said anything", Rivers said. I just got caught because the camera was on me.
