Stranger Things officially renewed for season 3 on Netflix

It's on Netflix. You should check it out. I don't know... I think it could be the kind of thing people really, really like if they give it a chance!

In news that hardly qualifies as news given its inevitability, Netflix has rewarded its hit series "Stranger Things" a third season.

But now that it's official, it has us thinking about all the things we want to see in thew new season.

Netflix announced the renewal on Twitter, confirming that we'll be revisiting Eleven and the gang, as well as the series' new big bad, the Mind Flayer. Netflix has the ultimate decision on when the series will end, though.

"Stranger Things" Season 2 nine-episodes came out just a few days before Halloween and one of the earliest episodes centered around the kids dressed up as Ghostbusters at school.

In any case, the show is coming back for more. Five seasons seems to be the current plan, but that could always change. Speaking to Vulture, Ross Duffer said: "We're thinking it will be a four-season thing and then out". The announcement should come as no surprise as the first two seasons proved to be huge hits for the network.

There were a lot of questions left unanswered at the end of season two and we're excited to see how the story develops and we finally get the answers we crave. It would nearly make more sense to film season 3 and a possible season 4 at the same time. Once we had the Snow Ball, we didn't know [if we wanted to do] anything else as an ending.

There is not a set release date of the third season of Stranger Things, though we would expect updates on that to be available within the next couple of months.
