These pop up shops will interest many potential buyers as they will be able to test and try out the products before actually buying them online on the Amazon website.
The online retailer has also been expanding its brick-and-mortar presence: It recently opened shops inside some Kohl's department stores and it has opened a dozen brick-and-mortar bookstores. Whole Foods announced the Amazon pop-ups would also be launching in stores in Illinois, Michigan, Florida and southern California.
Discounts will be applied to some of these products in the week leading up to Black Friday.
Amazon devices such as the Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, Fire TV, Kindle e-readers and Fire tablets are already offered at more than 100 Whole Foods locations.
As such, with deals season about to go into full Black Friday overdrive, Amazon is getting ready to slash the prices of its own-brand gear in Whole Foods stores.
Whole Food's pre-Black Friday deals include $20 off the Echo Dot, $20 off the new Amazon Echo, and $30 off Kindle Paperwhite.
Some of those in-store deals will be happening courtesy of Amazon, which plans to offer some discounted items in Whole Foods stores.
