Heather Unruh to detail family member's sexual abuse allegations against Kevin Spacey

Former WCVB-TV news anchor Heather Unruh said Wednesday that actor Kevin Spacey sexually assaulted her then 18-year-old son at a restaurant on Nantucket in July 2016. The "House of Cards" star was there, too, and he stuck his hand in her son's trousers and grabbed his genitals, Unruh said.

Unruh's attorney said: 'The family member of Heather Unruh met Kevin Spacey on Nantucket Island where Kevin Spacey allegedly sexually abused the family member of Heather Unruh'. "Kevin Spacey bought him drink after drink", Unruh said at a press conference.

Unruh's story comes amid multiple allegations that the actor has made unwanted sexual advances toward young men over the years. "It harmed him and it can not be undone". She told him to run, and he did.

"Spacey stuck his hand inside my son's trousers and grabbed his genitals", she claimed. "Right now my son is anxious, but he's also confident that the time to act is now".

"I want to make it clear: This was a criminal act", she continued.

The claims come amid a wave of other sexual harassment and assault allegations against powerful men in Hollywood, including Oscar-winning mogul Harvey Weinstein, screenwriter James Toback and film director Brett Ratner. Garabedian said he is conducting his own investigation. My loved one will speak when ready. Nantucket Chief of Police William Pittman said he will not comment on or confirm any investigation regarding Spacey or any other possible sexual assault investigation citing MA law regarding victim privacy.

Unruh said her son, now a college sophomore, didn't report the incident to police at the time because of "embarrassment and fear".

She also spoke directly to Spacey. "That was an appalling attempt to deflect attention away from what you really are: a sexual predator".

The House of Cards star apologized to Rapp on October 29, saying he did not remember the incident after more than 30 years.

Spacey is most recently known for his role on the Netflix original series, House of Cards, garnering him with accolades such as a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor.

London authorities are also investigating claims of sexual assault involving the actor from 2008.

"Whether he was over 21 or not, Kevin Spacey had no right to sexually assault him", said Unruh.

"The #weinsteinscandal has emboldened me- #truth time", she tweeted.

"I want to see Kevin Spacey go to jail".

She added, "Time the dominoes fell".
