PS4 fans were treated to a brand new trailer for The Last of Us Part 2 at Paris Games Week 2017 today, with a new glimpse of the horrifying post-apocalyptic world its set in.

There isn't now a release date set for Spelunky 2, and it's also not clear if it will remain exclusive to PS4, or if it will be available for the PC and Xbox One in time. Derek Yu of Mossmouth confirmed on the PlayStation Blog. "A sequel has been on my mind, too, but I knew I had to wait for the right time". You can check all of this out in the debut trailer above.

Spelunky 2 is now in development by Mossmouth, the creator of the original. Both involve a lot of reflecting on the past as well as thinking about the future. Many of these games, like Sprint Vector and Ultrawings previously debuted on PC for headsets like Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. But Spelunky 2 is real, and it's coming eventually.

If you're wondering why this curious squib of an event happened at all then the answer then remember, remember the seventh of November, gunpowder, treason and Microsoft's plot to launch their Xbox One X console.
