Fultz is out indefinitely because of soreness and scapular muscle imbalance in his right shoulder, the Sixers said Sunday. So much so that he doesn't even look like a sixth-grade girl when shooting free throws. The 76ers had announced last week that Fultz would miss three games. This is potentially really bad for The Process.
According to the team, the visit confirmed that Fultz has no structural damage to his shoulder, and will continue with physiotherapy treatment. He also shot just 33 percent from the field in his first four games as a pro. There did appear to be a hitch in his shot during preseason games, but Fultz has never been a spectacular shooter.
There has been confusion as to whether Fultz's shooting tweak caused the injury or began because of the injury.
He had averaged 23.3 points in his lone college season with the University of Washington.
Markelle Fultz will take more time before he returns to the court.
Fultz has been hampered by his shoulder all season.
The best thing for Fultz would be to stop playing until he's fully healthy. Both Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid missed entire seasons, although both have been health and performing at extremely high levels so far this season.
