In the middle of tweeting about issues of national importance like the JFK files and an opioid epidemic, The Donald made a decision to take time out of his day (sure what else would he be doing?) to take a shot at the film makers recent Broadway show "The Terms of my Surrender".
So, as things play out in this year of our Lord, 2017, Michael Moore clapped back hard at the president with a long Twitter rant that was punctuated with a picture of him and Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
"While not at all presidential", he wrote, "I must point out that the Sloppy Michael Moore Show on Broadway was a TOTAL BOMB and was forced to close".
When the show was announced in May, it was mentioned at the time it would play for a 12-week limited engagement. "The Terms of My Surrender" began previews at Belasco Theatre in NY on July 28 and officially opened August 10.
While Moore's show wasn't a wild success, it was not "forced to close". "You ARE aware I'm a "B'way star" & I guess this bothers you more".
In addition, Moore claimed "The Terms of My Surrender" was the highest-grossing nonmusical play of the summer, "despite my offering $29 cheap seats + free student tix so ALL could afford.". R u trying 2 distract us from this?" continued Moore, adding that "38 days after Maria, 3/4 of (Puerto Rico) (our fellow Americans) have NO electricity.
One thing we've learned by now is that President Donald Trump doesn't hesitate to attack any of his critics via Twitter.
