WHATSAPPWhatsApp introduced the ability to make VOIP calls in its app last year

The feature was spotted in the latest beta version of the messaging app by WABetaInfo, along with a photo shared by the company that appears to show a group chat containing video and voice call buttons.

How far away in the future group video and voice calls are is unclear as of now. The WhatsApp v2.17.387 beta for Android brings new manager features for groups, including the capacity to select whether members can adjust the subject of the group, its icon, and its description.

This is a fast article to inform you about a new internal WhatsApp project to implement in the next updates.

According to a report from WABetaInfo, which is generally quite accurate in predicting upcoming WhatsApp features and leaking them before they're announced, the IM app might soon get group video and voice calls.

Location-sharing is already a common feature on other social apps, including Snapchat's Snap Map and Facebook Messenger.

For example, WhatsApp 2.17.70 sends a request to the server to ask if the user you are calling is in another group call!

WhatsApp has revealed that it is testing group voice calling feture in its latest beta version for Android. There is also a choice to keep the group maker to be deleted from the group by other administrators. The WhatsApp will also notify if someone changes their WhatsApp number to a different number.

Speaking about the availability of group calling, it is said to be rolled out to the users next year.

The latest beta version update has a slew of new features, which include a smaller app size and auto-notification in case of change of number.

Finally, there is the revoke feature, which too, is under testing for WhatsApp.

This means that only people you choose to share your location with should be able to access this information, protecting it from intrusion from hackers, governments and other third parties.

WhatsApp will also facilitate instant money transfer via the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transaction system soon.

The application has 1 billion daily active users and around 1.3 billion monthly active users.
