The Bradenton-Sarasota-Venice market's $2.409 average on Monday was an 8.2-cent decline from a week ago and almost a 30-cent drop from a month ago, according to data from AAA, the auto club.
Gas prices in Georgia averaged $2.44 per gallon on Sunday after dropping eight cents during the past week, according to AAA, The Auto Club Group.
At U.S. pumps, states with the top ten price movements in the last week: MI (+15 cents), OH (+12 cents), in (+10 cents), Georgia (-7 cents), Tennessee (-6 cents), Texas (-6 cents), SC (-6 cents), Florida (-6 cents), New Jersey (-5 cents) and Virginia (-5 cents). Williams said price volatility has been felt across the country, beyond states directly impacted by the storms. But they're down from last month's prices, gas market watchdogs say.
The Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater region had the cheapest average ($2.34) in the state on Monday, while Miami ($2.62) was the most expensive. The Great Lakes, which saw a large uptick, will likely lead the nation this week with declines.

Analysts predict motorists can expect more of the same in the coming week. While that average stood 22 cents higher than where it stood previous year, in the aftermath of the hurricanes impacting Florida and oil production, last month, drivers in the Sunshine State paid, on average, more than $2.70 per gallon.
