In his interview with Charlie Rose, Bannon strongly suggested that Trump's firing of FBI Director James Comey was the biggest mistake in modern political history.

'Steve speaks for himself, ' Kellyanne Conway, counselor to the president, told and other reporters at the White House.

Despite having accused Trump of making "modern political history's" biggest blunder, Bannon told 60 Minutes that his goal was still to "support Donald Trump", adding that he intends to remain Trump's "wingman outside for the entire time" Trump is president.

Rose pressed on why someone who appears so loyal to President Trump isn't still working in the White House. They attended a ceremony at the Department of Defense's headquarters after that.

Bannon told CBS' Charlie Rose Sunday that the Washington establishment, personified in Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has been trying to get President Trump to back off his anti-establishment campaign promises from the very beginning of Trump's presidency.

Bannon continued to lash the church saying it needed illegal migrants for financial support.

Kushner is among the numerous rivals Bannon clashed with in the White House.

"I think their choice is going to be you're not going to be able to totally repeal it", he says. "She doesn't really have a grasp, she doesn't have a grasp on what's important and what's not, and that's what's essential in a leader".
