Now, a new leak has emerged, and from the looks of it, it's aimed at taking the hype surrounding the device to a completely new level. This phone is expected to come with full-screen display and Android 7.1.
Earlier, in a media invite, Xiaomi had officially announced the big launch event in India scheduled on September 5. By partnering with Xiaomi, Google might be aiming to take a new approach by providing mid-range specifications along with good hardware build and design. The recent trend also suggests that the upcoming Android One smartphone from Xiaomi will feature similar features as that of the Xiaomi Mi 5X. The smartphone is expected to come with up to 6 gigs of RAM. In actual, the Mi 5X lost its sheen due to Xiaomi's plan of introducing the new series. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is seen running on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo under the hood. We can expect more details about this Xiaomi smartphone to surface online in the coming months.
Besides this, the screenshots also reveal the presence of 4400mAh battery in the Mi Mix 2, along with a 20MP rear camera. Having said that, we have also included an action camera here, and an Android-powered TV box, just in case you're in a market for one. The device sports 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, while it packs in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.
Many have labeled the price tag as outrageous, but looking at Samsung as a brand, it's not unusual to see a phone coming from the company with such a massive price tag. Interestingly, if Mi A1 is launched in the upcoming event, it will be the first Xiaomi phone to run on stock Android rather than the brand's own custom skin, MIUI.
