Xiaomi's gen-next Mi 5x smartphone comes out into the markets with a 5.5 inched full-HD display. The phone packs 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. Folks interested in attending Xiaomi's launch event can register at the Mi website, and Xiaomi will offer free tickets to selected participants. On the front, the Mi 5X features a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter with real-time beautification for capturing better selfies. The phone runs MIUI 9 out of the box. It is highly anticipated that the latest device would be Mi 5X, which was recently launched in China. The Xiaomi A1 would likely be a re-branded Xiaomi Mi 5X with more or less the same innards but updated software.
Xiaomi to launch dual-camera phone in India on September 5, could be Mi 5X
Xiaomi Mi 5X, for those who don't recall, is a budget mid-priced smartphone with a dual rear camera. Still, it is expected that the device will be the Xiaomi Mi 5X. At the launch event, Xiaomi will be announcing the India pricing and availability of the smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 5X. At the rear, there are two 12-megapixel cameras with phase detection autofocus and dual-LED flash. One of the lenses is a normal unit, while the other is a telephoto lens. The smartphone was launched in China in July this year for 1499 Yuan which is approximately Rs 14,285.
On the connectivity front, the device offers 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Global Positioning System with AGS/GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack and USB type C. The device measures 155.4 x 75.8 x 7.3 mm and weighs 165 grams. As opposed to the iPhone 7 Plus that comes with a front-mounted fingerprint scanner, the Xiaomi Mi 5X sports one on the back. Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensor.
