Liverpool have reportedly tested RB Leipzig's resolve with two offers - thought to be worth around £57m and £66m - but the German club have remained firm in their stance that Keita is not for sale.

Some Liverpool fans have argued that RB Leipzig should let Keita leave if he desires the move, but Fjortoft indicated the very same fans would take a different view if the boot was on the other foot.

"At the beginning of the transfer period we said we would start with the same team and of the main players we had previous year no-one will go".

The box-to-box midfielder finished with an impressive return of eight goals and seven assists in 31 appearances to help RB Leipzig finish in second place behind Bayern Munich in the table. They're the two most important players on our team. They have all they want.

"Everyone can see how important Naby Keita is with our game".

Told that Liverpool have indicted they will resume their pursuit of Keita at the end of the forthcoming season, Hasenhuttl said he wasn't surprised given the rapid rise of the player and his team.

"Keita is more focused on us and has more fun now than previous year". He knows this season will be fantastic for us. He was involved in an ugly training ground incident as Die Roten Bullen prepare for this weekend's Emirates Cup at Arsenal.

But the Guinea star was later pictured making amends with Demme and Hasenhuttl is confident he remains fully committed to the club.

Managers are now pressing ahead with their plans for the summer transfer window so we'll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Hasenhuttl admitted that the lure of Champions League football has made it easier to keep the team intact - and said his young team will benefit from playing in the competition together.
