Murphy also recently announced that Girls star Lena Dunham will play a role in Season 7, something that didn't go down to well with social media users.

American Horror Story is tackling the 2016 presidential election through the eyes of a cult, but it will also feature an epic love story between the anthology's starring two players.

After revealing that the seventh season of the horror anthology series would be titled Cult, creator Ryan Murphy is going into a little bit more detail about the new story.

This is but the latest in a string of Instagram teasers Murphy has shared over the past few weeks and follows the first teaser trailer reveal at San Diego Comic-Con last week.

"Do you ever feel alone?" "We can set you free".

In the video, a haunting group of clowns are dancing in unison with another cut away while some are carrying weapons like axes and hammers.

We still don't know much about Ally and Kai, but Ryan Murphy did post a sketch of what the characters look like, and wrote that they have "a love story for the ages".

If Peters and Paulson are in love this season, we are totally here for it and it seems like Paulson shares our sentiments.

Murphy also revealed via Twitter that the show will take place in MI over 11 episodes during the Presidential Election.

According to Ryan, this season will be Evan's "heaviest season yet", meaning we'll be seeing a lot more of him!

Paulson and Evans co-star with Billy Eichner, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman, Colton Haynes, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson, Frances Conroy and Mare Winningham.

"American Horror Story: Cult" will finally land on FX on Wednesday night, September 5 at 10pm ET.
