Whitehead sent a text to The Fan's Mike Fisher at 2:46am saying, 'Blitz is home safe!' While he was away, a close friend was watching his house and his XL Bully puppy, Blitz.
Hopefully the situation gets resolved soon, and little Blitz gets back to Whitehead sooner rather than later.
On a Dallas radio show Monday morning, Whitehead recalled the first cryptic call he answered last week, during which the caller asked him how much his dog meant to him and that he'd have to "cut a check" if he wanted to see Blitz again. I strongly advise you to stop and return my boy safely before it gets any worse!
Whitehead had posted numerous pictures of the dog on Instagram and even created a personal account for him.
The rapper, who was asking for $20,000 in exchange for Blitz, claims he bought the dog from someone else and was just asking for his money back that he paid for the dog.
Whitehead said he also had talked to the police. It was obvious to anyone who happened upon his posts about Blitz that this National Football League player's dog meant a lot to him.
Whitehead told FOX 4 Dallas he was convinced this happened to him because he plays for the Dallas Cowboys and whoever stole the dog was trying to mess with his head. He said the caller said he would call back "but I haven't heard from him since". "It hurts because I don't know how he's being treated". "Everything else they took, more power to them". I just want the dog back.
