Xiaomi has launched today in India Mi Max 2 phablet which is the successor to the Mi Max that was launched past year. And today it had its fourth launch event launching the Mi Max 2 which is the only phone it has in its Phablet category. The Mi Max 2 offers a 6.44 inched, full HD display that offers a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels.
The Mi Max 2 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and was released in two storage options in China. The storage can be expanded further up to 128GB using a microSD card slot.
The Mi Max 2 runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat based MIUI OS.
Another noticeable feature is the presence of dual camera module and the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. On the connectivity front, the phone supports dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, infrared, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The Mi Max 2 also has a massive 5300mAh battery, with Xiaomi touting two-day battery life from a full charge. The device now also features stereo speakers, which will make the Mi Max a great multimedia player. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has been priced in at Rs. 16,999. Also, the antenna lines have been shifted to the phone's perimeter giving the rear a nice and smooth finish. The Mi Max 2 will be available on Flipkart, Amazon, PayTM and Tata Cliq. The phone comes with a new MIUI theme and has various shortcuts and tweaks to enhance the everyday user experience. There are few offers available with the purchase of Xiaomi Mi Max 2. From July 27th, the device will be available across all the major offline and online stores. In short, if you flatten an iPhone 7, you would probably see a Mi Max 2 as the end product, i.e. the design looks pretty identical to the iPhone 7, sans the camera bump and the logo.
