Sears Holding Corp. has added a Roseville location to its list of stores to close this year, part of a new group of 20 stores to shut down, Business Insider reported.

The Sears store, at 4000 Jericho Tpke., will start liquidation sales on June 30 and close to the public by mid-September.

Manhattan-based Seritage Growth Properties, the real estate investment trust that was spun off by Sears Holdings in 2015, owns the entire Huntington Square retail center and will be seeking a new tenant or tenants to replace the Sears store.

Sears Holdings, which owns both the Seas and Kmart chains, is struggling and has announced the closing of 200 locations in order to improve its cash flow.

"We understand that members may be disappointed when we close a store, but our Shop Your Way membership platform, websites and mobile apps allow us to maintain these valued relationships long after a store closes its doors", the company said in a statement emailed to Retail Dive. Kmart stores in Clementon, East Brunswick, Manahawkin, Mantua, Pleasantville and Rio Grande closed this year.

Sears Canada Inc. said Thursday it plans to close 59 locations across Canada and cut approximately 2,900 jobs under a court-supervised restructuring.

These closures come in addition to the closing of 226 stores - 164 Kmart stores and 62 Sears stores- already announced this year, according to research firm Fung Global & Retail Technology, which tracks retailers' closings. CEO Eddie Lampert has since blasted critics and said Sears is "fighting like hell".

The number of affected employees was not publicly available.
