Brock Lesnar & Samoa Joe brawl on WWE RAW

As per the report, it is being said that the WWE officials backstage are "very happy" with the way the program between Samoa Joe and Brock Lesnar is developing.

Joe's time as the No. 1 contender to the Universal Championship is already off to a stellar start following his face-off with (and subsequent attack on) Paul Heyman this past week, but it will be interesting to see what goes down when Joe and Lesnar are under the same roof this coming Monday night.

Lesnar defends his Universal Championship against Joe at Great Balls of Fire on July 9.

Last week on Raw Samoa Joe met Paul Heyman in the ring, and he sent a message to Brock Lesnar when he choked out his advocate using the Coquina Clutch. In many ways Joe was the last person anyone expected to be in a position to face Lesnar, but his attack on Heyman and this week's brawl has certainly gone a long way to changing everyone's minds.

What followed was an epic brawl between the two competitors that forced Raw general manager Kurt Angle to call in security to break up the fight.

Dean Ambrose squared off against The Drifter Elias Samson again on RAW.

For over two months, The Hardy Boyz were undefeated in both singles and tag team competition, knocking off Sheamus and Cesaro on a weekly basis. Elias capitalized with a knee to a swinging neck-breaker for the victory.

Two Cruiserweight division matches took place where Cedric Alexander defeated Noam Dar in quick time.

Alexa Bliss has a huge target on her back as most of the women's division are strategizing on getting the title.

The title holder risked the ire of the locker room by walking out of a six-person tag match, which also consisted of Nia Jax, Sasha Banks, Emma, Dana Brooke and Mickie James. Sasha got the win for her team with the Bank Statement submission.

- They ended this show with a double countount finish in a 2-out-of-3 Falls tag team title match, which is an especially nice dressing for a big ol' shit salad. The titleholders got the first pinfall by Sheamus hitting a Brogue Kick to Jeff's sternum.

The Hardyz took out their frustrations on the champions after the bell but it was Sheamus & Cesaro who walk out of the Cajundome in Louisiana with the gold.
