More than a drink, Starbucks is branding the Unicorn Frappucino as an experience.
Starbucks is really stepping up their special edition drinks game with the limited-time-only Unicorn Frappuccino. It's topped off with vanilla whipped cream and a sprinkle of pink and sour blue powder.
Apparently, when you mix the drink it changes color from blue and purple to a bright pink.
'Starbucks is releasing a new Unicorn Frappuccino and my life is now complete, ' wrote one, adding a unicorn emoji.
"The elusive unicorn from medieval legend has been making a comeback", the company said in an announcement.
If you've spent any time on social media in the past year, you've probably noticed the trend of multicolored "unicorn" foods ranging from pastel toast to cupcakes with sparkly toppings.
Business Insider points to other unicorn drinks out there and says, "Starbucks didn't want to be left out". But much like the mythical creature it's named for, the beverage remained shrouded in mystery. until now.
This Metro editor had a chance to try a Unicorn Frap one day early. Possible incarnations of the technicolor drink showed up on Instagram as well, but when asked, Starbucks had nothing to share in terms of magical menu updates.
If you were wondering what flavor "Unicorn" evokes, that would be a blended crème base with mango syrup that apparently tastes like sour raspberry.
