Samsung Galaxy S8+, Galaxy S8 launching in India on April 19?

The Galaxy S7 Active came with a Li-Ion 4000 mAh battery, compared with the Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery on the standard Galaxy S7.

Both the Galaxy S8 and S8+ packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or the Samsung Exynos 8895.

While Samsung might be calling the smartphone Cruiser internally, it is largely unknown how the upcoming device will be different from the Galaxy S8.

The long-awaited S8 is the South Korean tech giant's first new premium phone since the Note 7 debacle in October, which wiped out $5.48 billion of profit. For instance, last year's Galaxy S7 Active came with a shatter-resistant screen along with IP68 water resistance.

Active variants of Samsung's Galaxy S handset always feature larger batteries. "Samsung #GalaxyS8 #GalaxyS8Plus, India launch on 19th April, 2017", said the Tweet by Samsung without revealing any details, least of it about the price in India.

However, there is one pice of hardware that users would've liked an upgrade to with this year's flagship, and that's the camera on the Galaxy S8; the rear camera is the same as Galaxy S7, but the front-facing lens has been upgraded to an 8MP lens, citing the ever-increasing importance of the selfie shooter.

Samsung has revealed the pricing for the Galaxy S8 for nearly all countries, and below, we have a compilation of Galaxy S8 price and Galaxy S8 Plus price, for nearly all the regions where it's launched already, available on pre-order or otherwise. Both the smartphones boast wrap-around screens and a new voice assistant, but no home button.

For a reminder, Samsung Galaxy S8 packs with 5.8inch AMOLED with a resolution of 2960×1440 at 570 ppi.
