An alleged poster revealing a September 8 release date and pre-launch beta for Destiny 2 has surfaced online.
A promotional poster has leaked for Destiny 2, which reveals a potential release date.
Luckily, much like the first game, it also looks like we'll be able to test it out before launch with a beta. The poster, as seen as above, shows three humans wielding shotguns and no helmets. While we're not 100% sure if these posters are real, multiple outlets are reporting that they are. Sources familiar with the project state that Bungie will make an official announcement today confirming a June time frame for the beta. The first Destiny game did not arrive on PC, which angered many gamers who wanted that over a console version.
Destiny was released worldwide on September 9, 2014; Destiny: The Taken King was released worldwide on September 15, 2015; and Destiny: Rise of Iron was released worldwide on September 20, 2016.
"Full Destiny sequel in 2017 to broaden the franchise's global reach, which along with follow-on content plans, sets the stage for growth", reads the company's earnings report. They also have PlayStation marketing on it, suggesting a partnership between Bungie and PlayStation will once again be in play.
We will provide you with updates as the situation unfolds throughout the day and the next few months.
