Meet Gru's Twin Brother in the New Despicable Me 3 Trailer!

Universal Pictures has debuted a new poster and trailer for the upcoming animated sequel Despicable Me 3.

Kristin Wiig returns as Gru's girlfriend as the two brothers go on an adventure to to capture new villain Bratt (voiced by South Park's Trey Parker) for the Anti-Villain League. While it's still quite a long while before that film drops, the latest trailer and everything else we know should satiate fans.

The new trailer will likely reveal more information about the character and his relationship with Gru.

Villainy runs in the family, as former villain Gru learns in "Despicable Me 3".

The first trailer introduced the movie's main antagonist, Balthazar Bratt (Trey Parker), a former kid actor who's obsessed with the character he played.

If you don't feel like doing that, here's the pertinent information you will be missing: Steve Carell's Gru has a twin brother he has never met before.

Joining Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig in Despicable Me 3 is Emmy, Tony and Grammy Award victor Trey Parker, co-creator of Comedy Central's global phenomenon South Park and the Broadway smash The Book of Mormon. Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda are directing Despicable Me 3 from a screenplay written by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio. Universal and Illumination Entertainment are counting on this third movie for continued success. Since Steve Carell is easily one of the most entertaining parts of this franchise, I guess it only makes sense to figure out a way to double the Gru and double the fun. The series also has a successful spin-off in Minions, released in 2015. The first film, Despicable Me, was released in 2010 and grossed over $543 million worldwide.
